Privacy Policy

Game: Yathsel · Last updated: 30 July 2026

This privacy policy explains which personal data is processed when you play Yathsel and what rights you have. It applies to all versions of the game, meaning Google Play, the Apple App Store and Steam.

Yathsel shows no advertising. No ad network is integrated and no advertising identifiers are read.

1. Controller

The party responsible for data processing is:

Urdent Studios
Lucas Lickteig
Konrad-Adenauer-Strasse 14
63225 Langen, Germany
Email: Urdent@web.de

2. Scope

This policy covers the game "Yathsel". The distribution platforms (Google Play, Apple App Store, Steam) and any third-party services reachable via links have their own privacy policies, over which we have no influence.

3. What data we process

3.1 Local game data

Settings, your current save and a copy of your progress are stored locally on your device. You can delete these files at any time by uninstalling the game.

3.2 Game account and progress

So that your progress persists across devices and so that leaderboards and multiplayer work, the game automatically creates a game account on our own server the first time you launch it. The following data is processed:

Your display name and rating are visible to other players once you appear on a leaderboard or join a multiplayer match. Please choose your display name accordingly.

3.3 Multiplayer

In online multiplayer your IP address is processed to establish the connection. It appears in our server access logs, which rotate automatically and are deleted after seven days at the latest.

Messages sent in the in-game chat are relayed through our server and automatically filtered for disallowed content. They are not stored permanently.

If you report a message, that one message is stored together with the display name of its sender so that we can review it. We delete such reports after 180 days at the latest, and they are deleted immediately if you delete your account. You can also mute the other player at any time; that setting stays on your device and is not transmitted to us.

3.4 Purchases

Optional purchases, in particular the premium version of the battle pass, are handled entirely by the respective platform, meaning Google Play Billing, Apple or Steam. Payment happens there; we receive no payment data such as card or bank details, only the confirmation that a purchase was completed so that the content can be unlocked.

3.5 Crash and usage data

The distribution platforms collect aggregated, anonymised crash and usage statistics independently of us, provided you consented on your device. We do not use any analytics or tracking solution of our own.

4. Legal bases (GDPR)

5. Recipients and services used

Your data is not shared for advertising purposes.

6. Retention

Local game data remains stored until you delete it or uninstall the game. Account data on our server is stored for as long as the account exists. Access logs containing IP addresses are deleted after seven days at the latest. Data processed by the distribution platforms is subject to their own retention periods.

7. Deleting your account

You can delete your game account and all associated data directly in the game: open the settings from the pause menu, switch to the Data tab and tap Delete Account. The button asks for confirmation; tapping it a second time deletes the account immediately.

If you no longer have access to the game, send an informal email to Urdent@web.de instead. Please include your display name or friend code so we can identify the account. We will delete it within 30 days.

Full details, including how to remove individual data without deleting the whole account, are on the account deletion page.

8. Children

The game is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you are a parent or guardian and believe we hold data about a child, please contact us at the address given above.

9. Your rights

You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection, as well as the right to withdraw consent you have given. You may also lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. To exercise these rights, contact us at the address given in section 1.

10. International transfers

Our own servers are located in Germany. When using the distribution platforms, data may be transferred to countries outside the EEA, including the United States. Those providers base such transfers on appropriate safeguards, for example EU standard contractual clauses.

11. Changes to this policy

We update this privacy policy when the game or the legal situation changes. The current version is always available at this URL; the date at the top shows when it was last updated.
